Challenge
To create web and social media friendly video content on a tight budget to promote the little known country of Slovakia as a business destination, and in particular to attract conferences, meetings and incentive travel programmes.

Solution
Over a three-day period, Three-sixty partners Ian Whiteling and Pete Roythorne toured Slovakia with local experts, shooting and presenting a series of short videos on various aspects of the destination, which had been plan and prepared well in advance, ranging from how to get to the country to Bratislava’s incentive potential and the convention facilities in the High Tatras mountain region. To keep costs to a minimum, the videos were shot on a semi-pro camera and edited by Whiteling and Roythorne themselves, using a basic video editing package.

Results
Using semi-pro equipment and basic editing software not only meant Slovakia’s video content was highly affordable, but also that it could be turned around quickly. The Slovakia Tourist Board were delighted with the documentary, reportage video style, which it said created a more believable series of videos, which got key messages across in a highly watchable and engaging way. The videos have been used extensively to promote the country as a business events destination will great success.

“We love the guides! They were absolutely worth the investment. They provide an inspiring and entertaining way to educate potential visitors about the destination and its hotels, venues, heritage and landscape,” says Eva Uherova, manager of the Slovak Convention Bureau.
